I am attempting to replace my timing belt. I am following the article on this site and I was doing well. I have the motor mount out and loosened the power steering bolts. Although now, I cannot figure out how to loosen the alternator belt. I have tried tightening the alternator belt adjustor and loosening it, but the belt will not budge.

How do I loosen the belt?

There is a pivot bolt that is reached from under the car as well as a bolt on the bracket.

Then you can loosen the bolt on the side of the adjustment bolt assembly and then slide the adjustment bolt up until it comes loose from the bracket.
