What would be the best way to cap off/block a rubber coolant line?
I am pulling my exhaust manifold, radiator, turbo, etc. etc. There is a rubber line connected right under the thermostat housing. That connectes to a long metal line that USED to go to the stock oil cooler. I DO NOT have an oil cooler anymore since I switched over to the forward facing filter bracket. So I just have the metal line and then a rubber line off of that and then up to the lower water pump (that runs to the water pump).
What I want to do is just block it at the thermostat housing and block it at the water pipe so I can remove that metal line completely. Would I just stick a bolt in the hose and clamp it shut or what? What would be best?
