I bought this turbo a while back, I know real EVOIII 16Gs don't have a stamp like this on them, how much would you pay for this??? Hardly any shaft play also

And what's with this funky lookin exhaust housing????

How would I hook up the part that looks cut off?

It doesn't hook to anything, its an O2 dump when the waste gate opens it dumps to atmosphere. You need a recirculated o2 housing if you don't want it like that.

id say for 50 bucks atleast you got that o2 housing. Not bad. Never heard an open dump 1st hand.
Comp wheel does look like shit. Maybe you can use the wg? I dont know, but for 50 bucks, even though its ebay junk, it may have some use. Who knows

As in it doesn't move in or out and up and down it you're really really checking it out you might say it budges but i would consider it hardly any to none
What is "hardly any shaft play"
in/out or side to side?

The inducer fins on compressor wheel are damaged

Ha ha it's funny they actually engraved "DSM" into the markings on the turbo. ROFL

As stated, the compressor fins look damaged and the rest of the turbo will likely go out in a "destroy everything fashion". I would not bolt that up at all imho.

Trade it for a good 14b :sneaky:

$50 isn't bad, I would think you could rebuild it at least (eBay), or maybe make money on the 02 housing depending on condition / quality

Hook it up to the lawn mower!

Yea i was like DSM EVO III then I was like fake..... -__-

Not bad for $50, id recommend getting it rebuilt, i remember seeing justin on here rebuild a ebay turbo, using real mhi internals or something similar, im not sure what the outcome was or how its holding up but id pm him and ask if thats something that hed recommend again, seemed like a cool dude definitely really helpful and answered alot of my questions when i was looking at turbochargers

id keep the 7cm housing and grab a 14b and put it on it. either that or MAYBE rebuild it, but your probally better off with a 14b.

and either keep or sell the o2 dump. fyi the o2 dumps are VERY LOUD under boost.

i am also curious to see how that ebay turbo justin rebuilt with mhi parts is holding up.

From what I understand the 14b internals will fit right in with this

From what I understand the only good thing about that turbo is the turbine housing, and possibly the WG..Clean the rest up, and make a paperweight.

Do not try rebuilding with MHI parts. It can be done but not woth your time.
