how can i get these to connectors to work?

ok i finally found out where this connector goes

the 1 on the far left.
it goes to a connector to the left of the center consol, but the 1 on the left is too narrow ans has less pins 4 i think. i think it ties the 2 wiring harnesses together. how can i get it to work. im using the engine wiring harness of a turbo engine and the chassis wiring harness is the original 1.8 rs harness. i think this is why my guages dont work.

You'll probably be ahead to track down the proper wiring harness. Making the wrong one work will be quite a lot of work.

i got rid of the car that had the proper wiring harness. at thetime i didnt think nothing of it. is there any way i can get my fuel guage to work tho? im assuming this is why my guages dont work.
