How Do Ypu Get The Cruise To Work

Hi all im new and im in the the newbie forum,
any how i have a simple question
how do you get the cruise on a 98 gs to work ?

do you just hold the on botton down for 5 secs or ??? is there anthoer botton ?

pls help thanks in advance

First off, make sure the throttle cable is tight under the hood. When I first got mine, I thought the cruise was broken. I popped the hood and found the cables came loose. Once I tightened them, I held down set for like a sec and it worked fine. Sometimes I have to push set twice.

where is the set button ofr the cruise ? on the wheel like fords or ??? i dont remeber seeing it

i have not yet boughten the car i am looking at it

98 gs with i/h/e 81 on it brand new timeing belt and water pump great body and paint for 6600 sound good i thought it did

On the left hand side of the dash right above the foglight switch is the cruise button. Make sure the orange light is on and then the controls are located on the steering wheel on the right hand side. Hold it down for a sec and the cruise light should come on in the dash.

you guys kick butt thank you very much it was dark when i drove it and i had no sales man with me, and well honestly i had never driven one beforre how ever i have always been a dsm fan due to the styling, performance for the dollar and the fact its not a honda
