I am just wondering how bad it is for the car to run w/o a mas. I know it's super restrictive, how could anyone be so stupid as to make an intake with two 1/2" holes and a honeycomb....it absolutly dumbfounds me. Anyways, I want to run a different filter w/o the MAS. The last time I ran it like that I got a CEL, which is understandable because it can't "read" the temp of the intake air. Is my best option the GM MAF translator set-up? Of all the cars I have worked under the hood of, mine is the only one with a MAS right behind the filter. My car is a 93 eclipse gs n/t 5 speed w/2.0L engine.

I agree with Eclipsh...Would it be worth while on an N/A engine? If you don't mind spending ~$400 just to relocate the MAS, then I guess a GMAF is the way to go. But I can think of a hundred other ways to spend $400 than relocating a part that you rarely look at anyway.

Yea I guess I did answer my own question. I wasn't really sure on the pricing before, but I reseached it a bit and it's a little much just for the relocation. I guess I'll just stick with the stock restricted MAS and keep the money in my pocket.
