How Are Your Subs Mounted?

I've been wanting to put my subs (10") in the side walls of the trunk (where it curves out). With my 95 Talon, I had actually made custom boxes that fit there for them...but then got rid of that car.

I liked how they were out of the way and left me trunk space and access to the donut compartment...where I keep extra stuff like jumper cables and some tools. Therefore, now, I'm thinking...to make it look extra good, was thinking about fiberglassing some custom boxes to the side panels...since I want it to look very clean also.

How do you all have your subs mounted?

I got one 12 right in the center behind the back seat. It starts at the top of the back of the seat and angles down to the floor of the hatch. I still have lots of room too.

LOL, I have no room after I put my subs in. (2 12's in a sealed 3.5cf box). You could do a box as stated above but for 2 10's facing the rear.

My subs are currently in a box. I had built a box that sits nicely up to the seats. It has a stand in the back to keep it from tipping ;) I just need my trunk space back (3 kids... = a lot of groceries LOL)...and I want it to look very nice since I'm redoing the entire car.

something like in the 2nd post http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/appearance-interior-exterior/438344-custom-interior-ideas.htmlNice,clean, and plenty of room left. This is how I will be building my next box.

Oh WOW! I love that! Thinking that is definetly gonna be in the works for me...seeing how I can't reach that back area very well anyway LOL. BUT! I think I would mod it a little bit and put two cubby doors on each side of the sub (and insulate), to put some tools in.

I have plans to do a box in my 1g. 1 18" cerwin vega and 2 10" subs. The box for the cerwin vega alone is 7 cubic ft and will take up the entire back hatch area. 10's will go in the rear seat area with the amps. I'll post pics of my designs and measurements as soon as I can. Oh and flat floor in the rear its an awd.
