How about TRE (The Racers Edge) fuel pumps?

I found a listing for TRE fuel pumps on Ebay. The pricing is good at $70 a pump.

Has anyone heard of these guys, and are the pumps any good.

They claim to preform like the Walbro, yet not as loud. They also offer a one year warranty.

These must be the Chinese knockoff's that everybody was discussing a couple weeks ago. It's a fuel pump, it's not something you cheap out on. You're only saving $20, is your engine worth that little to you?

I checked Ebay with no luck and am now thinking on stopping by our sister group; evotuners. I'd like to see what they mite offer up to one of us poor DSM'ers.

The supra pump is supposedly quiet as well, but I do not have any direct experience with it.

I have never heard a loud Walbro pump, the stock pump on my Dad's Chevy truck is louder than my 255. Do you guys use the insulator when you install them or what? I can't hear mine over my exhaust and my exhaust is pretty quiet.

Unforcinatly I've never actually herd a Walbro pump... pumping; I was just going off other peoples comments about what they've experienced.

I'd say I have a medium loud exhaust and a decent stereo (no subs, just amp and Alpine separates all around). I dont have a problem with Walbro if the census is that there really not that loud. They definatly seem to be the most used pumps in DSM's other than a Mitsu

We hate to bring up old posts, and we do not go around random message boards spamming for business, but we do searches for our company and fuel pumps on yahoo/google to make sure threads relating to us have the correct information. If anyone has questions regarding our items you are always welcome to ask. The only reason for replying to this post is that there is a lot of misinformation in this and the other thread which is linked. We have had great success with these pumps, and have thousands of happy customers. The flow numbers are actually slightly higher than the original graph on our website, and were verified by RC Engineering(www.rceng.com). We are in the process of a complete redesign of the website to showcase more information and models of our fuel pumps, and new flowcharts will be available soon.

In regards to actual fuel flow, we tested at 13.5V, at 65 psi (43psi + 20lbs boost) the pumps will flow 190-195lph depending on model, capable of supporting an estimated 575 bhp. At 75 psi (43psi + 30lbs boost) flow is about 175lph good for about 525 bhp.

Sorry for bringing up a dead post, we just want to make sure our voice is heard, and maybe someone on this board who has ran our pump could respond.
