OK, I am sure this will sound dumb to some of you but I really am not mechanically inclined enought to get it, so............

I have a 1995 Eagel Talon TSI awd manual car. I was told the turbo went bad. I need to replace it..... What is the turbo that was on there?

What is the best turbo I can get as a replacement for it (no internal upgrades)? And what is the difference between a td05, 14b, t-25 and all the others I keep seeing on here?

Sorry if this seems silly, I am just trying to grasp the defferences and what would be the best for my car.....

Thanks in advance

The T-25 is what turbo you have now. It is the stock turbo for all the 2g's. The 14b is the stock turbo for the 1g's. The difference between the 14b and t-25 is that the 14b is a little bigger and can keep its boost for a little while longer. I think 100-300 more RPM. T-25 starts spitting out hot air at 6K and the 14b's can go to around 6400 i heard. As for the other turbo, td04, I don't know about that so I won't comment.

quickest swap would be a t-28 ... compareable to a b16g power wise.. but stock apearing .. stock routing on the piping.
