The design for most of that stuff is relatively simple, except the manifold and exhaust depending on if it's a full exhaust, but the welding/bending/drilling/cutting of the materials all takes the right mindset and skill level. The proper tools help a LOT as well!

When you get into big power later or even just now to practice, you can buy a throttle body flange, and intake manifold flange, 4 velocity stacks, a length of tubing (cut in four even pieces for the runners with one end massaged to a nice oval-like hole to weld to the flange), and some sheet metal (maybe even find some from a scrap pile at a yard/not too thin) and make a custom intake manifold. You might spend around 150 bucks and end up with a nice intake manifold that will hold up side by side with the ones for 400 bucks and up.

To top that off, you can say you made it! I would try it out if I had a welder and simple welding skills. You'll probably learn a lot in the process too. :)

If I had an experienced fabricator I would have him make me a custom exhaust manifold and intercooler pipes. Then a custom catch can that is part of the engine bay.

If he has crazy master skills then I would have him make tubular subframes and tubular suspension arms with spherical race bearings.
