Homemade exhaust.

Ok, my uncle owns a pipe bender and what i wanted to know was how many feet of tubing will i need to order. Jegs sells it in 4ft sections. Will i need 12ft or 16ft? (compinsating for bends)

my friend used 10ft of piping and bought a muffer off of ebay, so i think 12ft would work fine

The GST is longer and requires more piping. Just incase his friend had a AWD instead of FWD.


Take a tape measure under your car and measure it up. Minus the cat and flex of your choice.

Hrmmm you dont have to buy it in peices...

My exhaust is a 2.5 inch downpipe and flex section, then 3 inch pipe all the way back to the Magnaflow muffler and the 3 inch pipe is one LONG pipe.

Whole exhaust only has 3 bends in it and thats including the downpipe bend. Flows like a mother####er boy let me tell you.

Just go to a local muffler shop and tell them you need like a peice of aluminized or stainless pipe depending on what you like best and ask them what kinda deal you can get on it.

I found it was cheaper to just do that over mail order. By the time I ordered the pipe online and paid shipping it cost more then the deal the local muffler shop gave me. They get good deals because they buy bulk so they were able to give me a good deal.

Plus it would save welding if you got one big peice.

Just my suggestion though. Not like welding it hard or anything.

If your system is like this.....

then again. He is a 2G FWD. It is completely different. He has no space to run a 3" pipe straight back. The fuel tank does not have an indention to run it that way. He needs a system like this......

Ok I stand corrected. I've never even see a FWD before. Everyone I know owns a AWD so I didnt know there was even a diffrence.

Damn thats alot of bends to press bend. Hope he has a manderal...

mandrel > all ;p

quite expensive though

my dad said he would have something to bend stuff that big, he used it to bend conduit.
