How do you guys running a compressor cover with a v band get the coupler to stay on without leaking. The outlet after the flange necks back down. At the flange it is 3 inches, so would a 3 to 2.5 90 degree coupler do the trick as long as I used a T bolt clamp?

I grinded mine down a little and a 2 1/2 coupler slides over and doesnt leak at all.

That's what I did when I used the holset.

I have the original vband pipe if you're looking, but not sure if it would clear?

I knocked the lip off and was able to use the stock 2g upper pipe as a 90 bend. On the old holset housing it held 30psi for 2 weeks and still going :p

It is hick-upping at 15psi though so time to recheck the clamps.
