Hx35 V-band manifolds

I have a hx35 with the V-band manifold. I've searched all threw the holset manifolds sections etc. Which manifold will work best? I know I could get a bep housing and a fp mani, but I would rather run the V-band.

Hey Joe, technically you have the twin-scroll exhaust housing with a v-band outlet (to the downpipe). You can either run a single-scroll manifold (like mine) or buy the more expensive twin-scroll manifolds to take advantage of your twin-scroll exhaust housing on the turbo.

I'll shoot him a pm and see how much. Appreciate it! Still don't know if I wanna run dual wastegate's tho..... I'll have to read up on it some more, then decide. 8 blade hx35 isn't going to need all that, but maybe when i upgrade, I might. :aha:

Yeah prob 1000+ for just the mani then another wasgate and I'm sure I'll have to delete some more stuff then just the battery to fit everything. I got alot more research to do.

Yeah this is the reason why people go bolt-on FP turbos like green-black. Don't have to worry about custom manifolds and downpipes and things fit great. However, you usually lose some performance with the bolt-ons.

A custom setup will be more expensive than a bolt on turbo for sure. But u will have something unique built by a great guy and contributor of this community. I don't mind paying a lil extra for something that u will enjoy for years. I've researched this a lot and divided/twinscroll is the way to go for quick spool. Well see how she performs after I get it all setup. Besides, have u seen the welds on those manifolds he builds?! Pure weld porn.

I haven't heard of too many fitment issues with t3 hx35s but I could be wrong. If you want to keep that twin-scroll then some manifolds will have double wastegates with dumptubes:

That ad is a year old, but I'd be curious to see the actual flange he used on that manifold, cause that collector is a open design, the runner pairing is correct, but it looks like he just threw a divided flange on an open collector, put two gates on it and called it twin scroll... (Assuming it actually is a divided flange) unless he welded in a piece of plate down the middle of an open collector....

Unfortunately It doesnt really work like that, you need to have the two sides of the volute completely seperated from each other one side will have cyl 1&4, the other will have 2&3 he did that part correct by how he designed the runners but used the wrong kind of collector, what he has there is basically an open t3 with a divider restricting flow. Just having two wastegates or just having a divided flange doesnt make it twin scroll.

As far as my manifolds, i haven't released a twin scroll version yet it will be on the vendor announcements when I'm ready to start producing them, at this point my focus is the standard placement open t3, and top mount t4 twin scroll. After the top mounts are released I'll be moving on to the divided bottom mount t3 and t4:thumb:
