I am pretty sure I blew my oil seal on my HX40. Crank case pressure was the main cause, and my drain was too small. I fixed the crank case pressure by getting a valve cover with two 12an ports, catch can with two 12an inlets, and one 12an outlet with vacuum supplied from turbo intake.

My old drain from turbo to pan was:
RTM Oil Return fitting > 3/4npt male to 3/4barb > 3/4 hose > stock 1g return > oil pan

Problem with this setup is the stock 1g oil return is roughly 14-15mm internal diameter. The stock oil drain gasket at the pan is even smaller!

My new big drain from turbo to pan is:
RTM oil return fitting > 3/4 npt male to 1" barb 45degree > 1" clear reinforced clear tubing > 3/4 npt male to 1" barb 45 degree > RTM Oil Pan Fitting* > Oem gasket* > oil pan *

*drilled out to 20mm using 3/4 stepped drilled bit.
Here u can see the difference between a 3/4 barb and 1" barb. The 1" barb here is from china and it isnt as large as the 1" angled barb. I dont recommend this 1" barb because it doesnt fit snug in the tubing. The 45 degree blue or red barbs on ebay are larger and fit better

Opened up the stock gasket too.

The 20 mm is the smallest internal diameter in the whole setup.

Just an FYI angled 12AN fittings are about 15-16mm internal diameter

I drilled the oil pan while it was still on the car. I attached three electric toothbrush magnets to the base of the drill bit to catch shavings. Flushed the pan out twice, and installed a magnetic oil drain plug.

I removed the stock water to oil cooler and replaced it with a Mocal Sandwich Plate with built in thermostat. Why? Because I didnt want to take the time to dig into the belts to install a 7bolt OFH. I had to trim the center bolt for this to work. Oil filter is from FP and has the correct restrictor size. After the restrictor\filter I have my autometer gage.

Even with oil pressure in check and and huge drain, oil will still back up about and inch in the drain when the engine is idling less than 900 rpm. I guess due to low vaccuum and or excess oil in the pan. Soon as the rpms hit 1100 the oil level in the return line drops
