Recently cars been running bad, so I finally got time to check it out. Did a BLT and turns out my oil feed line rubbed a hole in my lower intercooler piping.

I roughed it up with a die grinder, cleaned all the grease off, cut a square piece out of a soda can to put over the hole and used Magnum Steel to seal it. Do you think this will work or do I need another J pipe/intercooler pipe.

I don't think that stuff will hold but that's just my opinion.

If you're a cheapo like me you can slid a coupler over it and clamp both sides...or if you can't get the coupler over try it with some petroleum jelly. (lube it up)

If you're not cheap then buy a new pipe.

Or have it welded the right way as mentioned above.

I need a new intercooler pipe to work with my 16g, so Im just going to the local exhaust shop and having them bent me one. Shouldn't cost much, and it should get me by until I bolt my 20g on. You could go that route if you can't afford a new aluminum one.

Oh yea... I forgot to add, there should be some kind of a bead to keep the rubber coupler from blowing off. Ive seen people bend the edge out some, but over time that will wear into the rubber. Im thinking of trying a bead of weld around the outside. Or maybe a series of tac welds... be sure to post if you find a cheaper solution, Id love to know.
