wow. thanks guys for not putting on here anywhere in the forums how to actually remove the oil pan and check the rod bearings. so....to you guys wanting to know, expect an entire day of work on your hands. first off, theres a subframe piece that needs to be removed. DO NOT try to PUSH the oil pan over that subframe piece, remove that black subframe. and if its never been removed before, get a cheater bar. and youll need to remove the motor mount bolt on the subframe as well. then, just wedge down the front end of the subframe to get enough clearance to slide the oil pan out. and remember which bolt came out where on the oil pan cause they arent all the same size. at least not on mine. this is a 1g 2.0 n/t motor. im sure ill get bashed for this posting, but wow, i got told by a guy on here that it would be a 45 minute job to get just the ####ing oil pan out. big mistake listening to that advice. anyways, youre best friend on advice to remove shit would have to be a chiltons or haynes book. by far. happy tuning yall
