I installed 264/272 HKS cams in my 98 Eclipse GSX. The car runs, idles good for cams and produces more power than before the cam swap except one problem. The car now studders at 2500 - 3000 RPM under easy and hard acceleration. The car has a check engine light and we had autozone read the code. The code came up as "Cam Angle Sensor". We have replaced the plugs and wires, so those are not the problem. Could someone give us some advice on what could be the problem or what i should replace next to troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks,
Paul :(

holy cow i have this exact same prob with my 272;s if anyone knows how to fix it i'll literally paypal ya 5 buxks been dealing with it for months now...

Make sure you plugged the clip that connects to the CAS back in all the way. Its right in the left corner of your valve cover cant miss it " look kinda like a big circle". If thats good pull the neg terminal off the battery for 20 mins or so and put it back on, take the car out and see if it is still doing it. If it is still doing it, I would replace the CAS unit itself sounds like its faulty or damaged in the install.

Your vehicle profile isn't filled out. What year car do you have. It will make a difference in where your cas is at.
