Has the engine been beat on or has it been babied? Do a compression check on the engine, if the numbers come back good(180-220 range) then you should be ok to boost. I have 92k miles on my boosted motor, and I know there are other guys with more. Just because you have 116k doesn't mean the engine is no good.
