I recently cleaned out my throttle body and right after, the RPM is way higher than normal. I tried replacing the IAC valve because it looked like it was in bad shape and that just made the RPM even higher. What is the most common cause of this issue?

Here's a few things it could be:
Vacuum/boost leak
BISS out of adjustment or leaking (adjust according to the FSM)
Throttle plate stuck open
Throttle cable too tight
Idle stop out of adjustment
TPS inop or out of adjustment
ISC inop (broken wires, bad stepper motor, or no signal from ECU)
FIAV stuck open (requires bypass plate or closing the passages)
