I am looking for some suggestions on some bad ass Rod/Main bearings. I am having my block rebuilt right now, and they have to machine the crank, so any suggestions on bearings?

I was thinking of the Power Enterprise Rod and Main bearings. Any suggestions?

Bearings are bearings. The instalation and correct clearances are more important than anything.

I have seen some great reviews of the King bearings versus Clevite bearings. I have no personal experience with either so take it how you choose.

a bearing is a bearing. if clevite runs out of a given bearing in stock they buy from acl, and if acl runs out they buy from clevite/others. so if these manufactures are willing to stick their name to a part they didnt make i woulld tend to think that it is a good product.and all this is so they dont have to retool the factory untill the particular bearing is scheduled to run again but thats just my $.02

In the grand scheme of bearing types, yes, a plain bearing is a plain bearing, or a rose, by any other name, is still, just a rose

...but really, there is a difference and my built 7-bolt with zero-change in thrust clearance can attest to this fact. Now which one provides better oiling to the thrust face? At the end of this year we'll see how Kings can deal with 60-1 power levels versus the s16g.

Kings left, Clevites right:
