High oil pressure problem

Finally got my car on the road today..Took it for a nice drive , and noticed the oil pressure is way past the h/high ..
Car is stock besides mbc , engine rebuild 20,000km's ago (previous owner) i bought the car replaced the transmission
Why would i have such high oil pressure ..Where do i start?

Like many will tell you here. The factory gauge is pretty much useless other then it telling you that you have oil pressure.

I'd invest in a Oil Pressure Gauge.

Yes but the oil gauge should never be way past high ..Something is wrong

I have the same problem. Did you resolve this or do anything more about it?

If the previous owner rebuilt it, they could have did a bse and therefore that's why you have high oil pressure. But yes the factory gauge isn't too good I'd recommend a new one as well.
