I would like help with a idle issue with my 97 eclipse gs. It has a 420a engine and manual transmission. I have replaced the throttle position sensor and the idle control valve. I also cleaned my throttle body. I’m confident I reassembled it correctly and used a throttle body gasket. My idling is a little better but not where it should be. It idles at 1 1/2 rpm.
I do notice that when my vehicle is stopped I can get the idle down by putting the transmission into 1st and slightly depress the clutch. Could it mean that my throttle cable is not adjusted correctly? I’ll include a video of the car idling when I put it in first gear at a stop.

That has something to do with the IAC valve. Try adjusting the tip. (Unscrew it some). They aren't always adjusted properly out of the box.
