High Idle, Boost leak??, hmmm??

Ok so I was just wondering what could cause my car idle to be so high....when i start my car it idles around 2000 and then as it gets warmer it will come down but only to about 1500 and i know thats way to high....but I dont know what could cause this?? Could it be a boost leak?? I also burn really rich like black smoke comes out when i get on it so im burning a good bit of gas and you can really smell it when i turn the car off...i know a boost leak can cause the car to run rich.....also sometimes coming around a righ hand turn it feels like the car kinda falls on its face almost like it takes a big gulp of air or sometihng and doesnt want to move but a few seconds after that it will take off and be fine and you can feel it like coming out of the turn it will somewhat pull you forward and then when it goes throw you back again....ive read about crank walk and all that horrific stuff but i know thats usually around a left turn...idk any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

Sounds like that could be the problem, but why dont you just do a boost leak test and find out for yourself? Search on the site and you'll find out how to do the test.
