high idle and check engine light on

I attempted two of the free mods today on my 95 gst, getting rid of the bcs restrictor plug and cleaning out the Intercooler. My car ran fine before these mods. The bcs mod went smoothly. I cleaned the intercooler with carb cleaner and water because that was all I had. I hooked it all back up and it started fine. I test drove and in 5 min the check engine light came on. Then when I got home the idle jumped to 1200 rpm and sat there. It idles smoothly but sits that high. Before it idled at 600-700 rpm. I unplugged the MAF to see if it was bad and the engine bogged down and idled rough. I plugged it back in and it smoothed out but creeped to 1500 rpm. Any suggestions???? Please help....Thanks

Make sure those couplers are tight around the IC since you took it off or it will leak. Then do a boost leak test.
