So knowing that we would have to do some serious street miles for this engine break-in and with how crappy the factory headlights are I commissioned a friend of mine install projectors into the factory casing. I had a huge gripe with most of the projector retrofits on 2g DSMs. I feel like the stock reflector is really good looking and that when people replaced the reflector altogether it never looked that nice and certainly didn't look OEM on the car. They always looked aftermarket.

So this was my idea to retain the reflector but package in a projector in a stock appearing way.

This is using a 3000k bulb for absolute maximum visibility in race conditions.

Here you can see them installed on the car and from a little distance they look very stock, up close they look really cool.

Because the projector sits slightly forward of the stock bulb location it doesnt cause any strange reflected light to scatter. It came out flawless! Except that it took up a lot of space behind where the headlight sits. This is not a problem for my car because of the electric power steering and remote/pressurized intake box

I also would like to see some more pics of how the projector was fitted in the housing.

Looking good, btw!

how about a dual projection system? one white light and one black light on each side??

i've been searching around for blacklight projector systems that would fit and are light enough to put on a car.. with little luck..

would be the ultimate lighting for street or race.. my aim was to improve visibilty at night in the rain.. and white lights reflect or absorb into the road surface.. most of the time, even with 400watts of lighting on my car.. without a voltage booster.. brights on or not.. I can't see anything..and thats dangerous..when it rains i'm going by knowledge of the roads alone...and on coming headlights blind me even more..

blacklights would also be less blinding to other drivers..any suggestions? think you could also use such an idea?

What do you mean by pressurized intake box? How did you manage that?
