Hiccup under full boost bone stock 1g

Hey guys. Alright I have a 92 Tsi bone stock engine wise. When I'm under full boost the car will hiccup then be fine then hiccup again. I let off if it happens. Now te other night while it was freezing out (north east) it didn't do it at all it could stay at full boost for how ever long I wanted. I also have a slight idle jump I'm not sure of the two are connected(Biss screw is turned all the way down) that's how I got the car. Smoke tested the intake mani head and all those lines. Was holding pressure no leaks at all. Couldn't pressure test the turbo/ ic side. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you

Do a real boost leak test. A smoke tester doesn't pressurize the system.

Very likely that you have a boost leak which is most-likely around the upper neck of the stock sidemount intercooler beneath the hose connection.

A boost leak test should always be step 1 when diagnosing a drivability issue.

It would be real nice if there was a pop up when you start a new thread that asks did you do a boost leak test. This literally comes up multiple times a day.

It's assumed that the search feature has already been exhausted prior to starting a new thread, but that only rings true about 1% of the time it seems.

Following steps 1-9 will solve about 99% of minor drivability issues despite having nothing to do with ECMLink.

Just go to Home Depot and buy the parts to build one. It will cost you around 15 bucks.
