Bone stock miss under boost

i have a 90 eagle AWD that is bone stock (i mean stock everything). the trouble i am having is when the engine gets to about 3500 i get a miss that feels like a rev limiter. if i back off the throttle a little i can make it go away. this car has not even had the free mods done yet.

tried to do a search, but it turned up nothing

have you tried the basics? fuel filter, plugs, wires ? try those first
