Ok I was wanting a 16g for quite some time now and this kid that my friend knows has an evo that he just put a 20g on. Now He wants to seel the stock turbo for $200 bucks. Is this a good deal? also will it bolt on and also is it a 16g or if not is it bigger that my stock eclipse turbo! Also HP increase #'s
 
first off, you need to know what your VE ratios are, yes it is a good deal BUT it could be a waste. im not the expert on the HP increases but i do know that if the VE ration of your engine doesnt line up with what the turbo puts out you could loose boost or just not get enough. if anything, scoop up the turbo so you have it, get yourself a logger look at your VE ratios if it works then pop it on if it wont sell it for 400 on ebay. or ish just take it and re sell it LOL
 
It is a 16G it's larger than the standard 16G, "evo16g." It is a good deal, even if it has shaft play, or is not free spinning. You do know that you will have to get the supporting mods for the turbo to see any gains from it.
 
No experts posted at allLOL . Me either. . . But any way. what evo is it? If it is 4-8, it has the reverse twin scroll turbo that will NOT work well w/ your current exhaust manifold. TD05HR. If he is 4-8 evo, then TO ME it is a bad deal. Unless he imported his evo3:D .

It is possible but the turbo will be reversed and your piping will have to be rerouted. Also, your alternator will likely have to be relocated. . . There is arelocation kit floting around . . . you'll have to research it. . . Bit since the evo3 16g can be had for so cheap, why bother. . .
