Hey guys hoping this is the right place to post this.. well give you a quick backround.. on my daily I've decided to throw in link v3.. for multiple reasons this a fwd auto gst it's a 91 and mainly bone stock.. last week I ripped all egr bs out and got me a cel with it no biggy ... figured I had it comming.. so tonight I throw the new ecu in.. (keep in mind I bought used and had settings in place already) now no am new to dsm link and figured it time to learn.. I found out quite a few things fast like injector size and maf type and got the car running decent enough to drive. Now when I first started it up it threw a cel said it was knock circuit malfunction I've searched and appeares to be other with same problem but likely the sensor was bad.. now mine never threw a cel for this I'm only assuming the cel before with the old ecu was a egr code this came on instantly I cleared it and immeaditly came back on its flat as can be on the graph and not sure what to think.. I could only assume the sensor went bad but how is just switching ecu kill a knock sensor?? So for now I just unchecked it and let it be being I'm not beating the cap out of it I'm not think knock will happen but I dono what I'm looking at as far as fuel trims and timming? As of now when I looked they seemed to be stock? Didn't look altered or anything but I'm unsure on it.. any ideas for it? I have a spare knock sensor I'm gonna try to thro in tomorow just to see but also its used and can't be considered reliable. Also I've tried reading a dozen threads about tuning and get confused at all the paragraphs and lingo is their any threads that show good examples of how to and what to adjust timming and fuel trims to and how it will react? Thanks in advance
