Hi everyone,

I just recently bought new rims and tires for my 2gnt. They are Chrome stock rims from a mitsubishi 3000gt. I just wanted to know if they would fit. they look really wide. I believe they are 16X8... the tires are 245/50/16.

Thanks... dave

I think i remember reading in the appearance section that they will fit. The picture looked really nice. The biggest problem with them is that they are heavy. More for show than racing.

since we are on this topic please help i was looking on upgrading my rims from the rs 14 inch rims to some 16 inch rims my question was what is a good set of economical or cheap springs and shock or struts well the truth is i have no clue about any of it i know that i want to run 16 inch rims but do i have to replace the shocks and struts if i do springs an explanation and recommendations would be great thank you.

the rims are not on the car yet. My car is in southern california, I will be going down there this week to get it. I was just asking if these rims will fit. before I try to put them on.. heres a picture..

damn those will look great, i would go have them rebalanced and tell them to put weights on the inside only instead of rolling with 4.5 ounces of weight on the outter lip. good find though i think those are pretty rare...

LOL thanks danny.

I will be balancing these rims myself and I will put the weights that stick on the inside lip. I go to wyotech so I have access to alot of tools and machines at school.

I really hope that they fit. Im just worried that they might be to wide to bolt on or I wouldn't be able to turn with them.

Hmm, I don't know about those, but I have a set of 235/40/18's that I have put on all of my 2g's (RS, GS, GS-T, GSX)

They do fit but they are really tight lock to lock. But since you already got them, then of course, go ahead and try them ;)

At 8 inches, offset will be critical. In addition lowering amount will come into play. I was lowered 1.5 inches with Tiens (not in that pic).

sounds good. thanks for the picture Mark. My 2gnt isnt lowered so I think I should be fine.. Plus I dont have the inner plastic fender shields on the front end.. so they shouldnt rub

well they dont fit. the tires are a bit to wide. but the lugnuts and the rims fit perfect. Im just getting some 5mm wheel spacers. I just hope i dont have to get longer studs..

Still cool. A step at a time. Where do they hit? Calipers? Inner suspension?

can i put gst rims on my rs with no issues and does it matter what year rims they are or are all 95-99 the same?

Most suspension components are virtually identical between the 2G DSM's, turbo or not. As long as the rims were stock on another 2G, they should fit on your car without modification.

1g rims are dimensionally the same, as well, and also hub-centric.
