I have a 95 GS-T, as of right now it is pretty much stock, I have cat back exhuast and thats pretty much it. I have $2500 That i can put into it, but I cant decide what to do. I want someting that spools up quick but still has good power up top. Im thinking about a down pipe, 16g or the slow boys racing .50 trim + supporting mods, intake, and maybe a FMIC kit if I can afford it. Does anybody have any good suggestions on what I should go with or anything I should add to the list? Thanks allot.

Ok thanks i think I will go head and order the 16g kit form TurboChargers.com,Walbro 190, 650 Injectors,Intake, downpipe, dsmlink,Boost Controller and FMIC form Ebay. and that will be around $2395 not inculding shiping. Do you guys think that sounds GOOD?

Well, I agree that DSMLink can be considered overkill at this point for him, but my reasoning is simply that he will be prepared for future tuning with it. He has a Eprom ECU already so why spend $220+ for an SAFC II, $175 for pocketlogger and $100+ for a palm device when you can have all the same capability and more potential with DSMLink. ?

Very valid point. I didn't even think to look at it that way.

where can i get DSMlink, I found one on ebay but I dont think I would buy on off Ebay.

Ok i found one at SBR and it ask for the injector size,im going to get 650s but what if one day i go bigger will i have to get a nother DSMlink to mach that size?

Do you own a laptop? You need a laptop for dsmlink. You might consider a wide band with the SAFC2 to tune with. Its cheaper than dsmlink and you dont have to send your ecu off for a week. You really need to decide what you are going to do with your car. Do you just want to beat anything in your town or get a certain time at the track?

Yea i have laptop, i want to get 320to350 WHP, and im sick of SRT-4s thinking that there shuch bad ASS's, is the wide band with the SAFC2 as good?

You might want to read up a little on DSMLink, here's the page about fuel adjustments. You can set up for basically any injector you'd want to use at any time you want.

No. The SAFC2 offsets the MAS signal to the ECU, so the ECU thinks there is less air flowing into the engine, and reduces the injector pulse accordingly which allows larger than stock injectors, and larger than stock boost. The problem is since the ECU sees less airflow, there will be a point where the timing map will interfere because the ECU will be setting timing for less airflow. So you will in essence be finding the point, when tuning with an SAFC, where the timing will not allow the AFR to be leaned out any further because of knock caused by the incorrect timing.

DSMLink however, allows timing adjustments independant of the MAS signal, so you can maximize both the timing and AFR.

Thanks for all the info,so i should go with DSMlink insted of the SAFC2?

That's your call, but if I were you it's what I'd do. I strongly suggest some research before making your decision. DSMLink is a very powerful tuning and datalogging tool, -in my opinion the best you can get.

Since you have a 95, your car should have an Eprom ECU already which makes things a little easier and cheaper. The 95 year was the only second gen year in which an Eprom ECU was used. Any 2G car running DSMLink must use a 95 ECU.

Keep in mind you will not be able to drive the car however, while the ECU is sent away. But you're probably already looking at a little bit of downtime to install all of your other parts. Basically the people at DSMLink remove the read-only-memory chip from the ECU (which contains all the mathematical tables that control the engine) and put a socket in its place to accept the interface cable from your laptop. If you need to revert at any time, simply plug the DSMLink supplied custom ROM chip back in the socket instead of the interface cable. I'm guessing this custom chip is the reason they ask you what injector size you are using, etc. :thumb:

I envy you. I wish I had the money to spend that you have. I know for sure I'd be getting a 95 ECU and DSMLink. :(

Thanks for all your help!! ill be ordering everything MAY 5th,ill post pic win its all in.
Thanks

I just want you to see that dsm link isnt the only option. With goals such as yours you really dont need dsmlink. My friends and I use the safc with the wide band and its pretty easy to tune. We dont have to use a laptop and We can tune with no one else there to hold a laptop. I am just saying explore your options and choose whats right for you, dont listen to what other people are using and go with that just because they are. Happy boosting.
