help with intake and turbo

can any of you guys tell me if is ok to put the air cone straight to the turbo without the hose of the intake to make the turbo or intake sound louder , or what can i do to make the bov valve sound louder , some people tell me to take the hose of the bov and just cover it with something but the car turns off when i do that can some one help me , i just want better sound . thanks

No, you can't do any of that. Put your intake/MAS/filter back on, and hook the BOV back up to the intake.

No, you can't just put a intake filter on your turbo unless your running a blowthrough setup that way you don't have to use your original MAS sensor.

To make a bov louder?
If you own a 2nd gen eclipse buy a new one.
If you own a first gen... Buy a better Upper IC pipe and intake.


"Taking off that hose" is called venting to the atmosphere and if your car DIES when you do this then you honestly don't need to do it because it will make your car run horrible.

best way to vent is with a GM MAF and VPC.. i dunno... be careful and definately put your MAS back and dont hack it up too bad

If you are going blow through you can but you will be sucking air right off the exhaust manifold....bad. also if set up correctly with blow through you can vent the bov.

This is assuming you arn't trying to go blow through with the maf....that just can't be done.

If you are getting a blow thru MAFT and the BOV is before that then you can vent and hangout with all the ricers you have impressed with your noise. You can also put the filter directly on the turbo but I would rather try and pull in cold air from the stock position.
