so i have a 1999 eclipse gst 2.0 and i need bigger injectors and my buddy has some 1000cc injectors for a sr20det and i test fit them and they fit in the car but can i do a plug adaper kit and will the run off these injectors

Are you sure about the fitment? Did it fit? I am not sure which injectors you are referring to. But IIRC SR20 injectors are side feed, not top feed. Also those should be high-z. If so, you would need to modify the injector resistor pack wires or would need a delete plug.

I can’t imagine this being an easier upgrade opposed to what everyone here has been doing for 20+ years. Although I did find some threads in reverse where people with 240s were asking if dsm injectors would work in their cars and all the answers were basically “no”. It’s because of the side feed and the fuel rail differences along with the low/hi z difference.

What’s going on with your car? Why do you need injectors that big?

its a rebuilt with oem internals and head studs big turbo my goal is 400whp then rebuild it this winter for 500-600 and yeah i can get pictures for ya and the injectors my budd is gonna sell me if they work pat number is 1000.60.11.14.4

Well those are top feed so that’s a start in the right direction!

so the only difference between those injectors and the ID injectors for your car will be the lower seats.
those have a 14mm o-ring seal, the 1g/2g ones have a denso lower cushion for the seal. If the injectors don't seal with the 14mm o-ring, it looks like you can cut off the plastic retainer for the lower o-ring and remove the o-ring to get it to seal with the stock cushions.
