help with fuel problems

okay my clutch line went at first so i got a new a new braided line
then my alternator goes right after i put it on an start it
then when i fix that now my car will barly stay on... when i spary 401 in it starts right up
so i'm guessing its a fuel problem but i really have no idea

Do you see any leaks in the fuel lines and rail? My guess would have something to do with the pump. I would check all of the fuses for the fuel system first, and then check to see if the pump is working properly.

How old is the gas?

^^^ has to be alittle over 2 weeks cause i've been doing all these things slowly over that amount of time it could be alittle older.
yea 1997 i was thiinking it might be the fuel pump too
