ok, im not a newbie, i just dont ask very many questions...so i cant post in the right area.. well heres my situation: i have the walbro 255lph in tank pump and now that i have everything together, i turn the key and we have no fuel. yes i checked the fuses, relays(that i knew of) and even did an resistance test and tested to see if we had power coming from the front of the car(the black/white 12v) and it doesnt do anything key on, or key off, or key starting. the pump does nothing either when hooked up like normal just outside the tank... ive checked everything i can..and still nothing. even when i do the dead head test with direct power to it (12v to b/w, body ground to ground terminal, it just sparks and acts like a short. i know everythings right with the positive and negative terminals, and the pump works when you put direct current to the pump itself, not through the wires?!? should i try doing the rewire mod? i dont think it will help, since im not seeing anything in the back and the pump just will not turn on. HELP ME!!! Ive been up for 36 hours and its been almost a year since i even bought the car and i still havent driven it yet! im so close and this so far is the only thing thats keepin me from my glory!! please help me!

On a 1g, the pump is not supposed to come on when you have the key on the ON position.

Only when cranking.

He's right, but it would probably be a good idea to go ahead and hardwire your new pump. that way you know everythings run right, and you can wire it up to come on when the key's on (if thats what you want).
