Hello all!!
This is really my first post of any real meaning here on the site. This site has been a weath of information for me learning about the DSM im working on. THANKS!! Here is the problem I have with the car. Everthing seemed to be fine untill I added the following mods to the car. I installed a INJEN intake, Greddy piping and intercooler, Greddy Type s BOV other than that its pretty much stock under the hood except for exhaust. I've tried adjusting the BOV hard/soft in all ranges, but it doesn't help. The problem I seem to be having is alot of boost. The boost keeps going over 20+ when I really get into it on a T-25!! This causes the car to SURGE or act as like its not getting fuel. It cuts out anyway after it reaches over 20. Anyway Here is some pics of the car and from what I've searched on the BOV I have it hooked up correctly.
Thanks and any help would be appriciated!!

Pic of T in BOV line. LEFT goes to mystery thing?? then to intake pipe. RIGHT goes to WASTGATE. Straight up goes to lower nipple on the BOV.

Sounds like an issue with the wastegate actuator check and make sure all the tubing is secure on it. Sounds to me your car is trying to boost out of control. Ive had a friend that hooked a MBC up wrong and thats what happened to him. And why did you hook the lower nipple up the the Greddy BOV? It says right on greddys site its not recommended and its only there to vent the lower diaphram. I dont recommend recirculating that lower nipple into the ic piping nor wastegate actuator. And make sure you have your bov adjusted just right if its making a "flutter" type sound its not adjusted properly make sure atleast a half inch of that adjustment screw is sticking up.

just my 00.2

what size is your exhaust?

Here is what happened to me: I have an evoIII turbo, 2.5" tubular o2 housing w/ dump on it, and a 3" turboback. On the stock upper intake pipes and BOV I held 12.7 PSI all day long. I upgraded the upper intake pipe to 2.25" and an HKS SSQV bov. Instantly after the install my car started creeping hardcore. I havent pushed it (WOT) much because my boost just keeps climbing past 19-20PSI and I let off. The wisement say it's because my upper IC piping was so restrictive/leaking that somehow it forced the car to hold ~12 psi. You will need to search about the cures for creep.

1. porting shit, o2 housing/divider and the path to the wastegate
2. getting a more restrictive downpipe (everyone will say this is not the way to do it, but it will work)
3. External wastegate

I have full greddy exhaust on the car. There seems to be a little debate on if you use the lower nipple on the typeS. I searched and some say use it some say don't anyway its not the problem. I tried letting it vent and hooking it up and didn't really notice any difference except it may be a bit louder hooked up as seen. I will check into the creep thing. Thanks for the quick replies!! Anyone else have an opinion??

Welcome to the boost creep club :tease: , a sign of significant results from your modifications. Like above said don't go the smaller exhaust route, you can achieve the same if you remove the your new greddy setup and return it to stock. To keep your performance gain you must deal with it in two ways, porting or external setup. Do a search on boost creep and read up as many threads on the subject, come and ask more question if need be. Also just want to remind you to do a boost leak test after a fmic kit installation. Have fun. :thumb:

i had the same problem after i hooked up the greddy type s. i connected it the same way you did and the boost levels were crazy. i left the lower nipple open and that seemed to solve the problem. although i loved the sound of the bov when the lower nipple was connected! hope it works.

I was just having problems similar to this and what helped me was disconnecting the BCS altogether and hooking up the nipple of the actuator directly to the compressor housing so that the BCS wasn't bleeding off any boost. When i did this my boost went from 22psi down to a safe 15 psi. Not sure if it will help in your case but you might give it a try. Also i leave the lower nipple on the Greddy S open to the atmosphere, always have, no problems with that for me.
