Help...with battery drain

Hey guys need some help here so my car is at a shop for a alternator And the guy says my battery is Completely drained over night With the car off, any idea on common place to look for where this power draw is coming from?

I have a volt meter but how do I check a parasitic draw like what do I connect the leads to?
 
You have to have the meter in amps. And run the meter in line (series) with the negative battery cable. If you run it parallel it will blow the fuse in the meter.
