Help: Where is my obd1 port? [Merged 9-8]

So I finally got my logger cable, and I'm all happy that I can now log my car. But I open up under the dash, and there is a !@#$%^&* load of wires going everywhere for a Viper security system the orginal owner installed. I look around like nuts, but I can't find the diagnostic port! It's supposed to be right next to the fuse box, but it's not, it's just gone. I guess they removed it. And I really do think it's gone since when I took it to a shop to check the Check Engine light, they also told me they couldn't find it. So what are my options? Can I buy a port and hook it up?

I will upload my entire CD to my website for you, should only take about 15 mins im on T1 connection and it has just about everything you will need to know on the wiring system so you should be able to snatch a junkyard odb port and install it

Ok, so I finally got enough time to do my homework on this, and here's what I've come up with. Can sombody please confirm what I'm about to do? I'm not an electrical engineer so I'm not sure what I'm thinking of doing is correct for my application.

On my logger cable there are 3 wire ends that I need to connect to 3 places. 1 wire is red, for the "data". and there are 2 ground wires that are black.

DATA/red logger wire:
On the ecu diagram (it doesn't matter, but we'll use the 1990 side), I'm looking at pin number 1 and 2. Which one would I tap into for the data/red wire? I'm thinking of tapping pin number one since it says that it's the Self Diagnostic output. can anybody confirm this?

Ground/black logger wires:
Where would these go? I'm seeing pin numbers 101, 104, and 106 and ground wires, so would it matter if i just tapped the two black wires into any two of those three? Again, can somebody confirm this?

I hope this helps. I went under my dash and snapped a pic. There are the wire color codes that go to the obd1 port and their location on the port & my scanmaster plug so that you can compare w/ your scan tool plug:

Both plugs are positioned in the pics as they would be plugged into the port.

Track down those wire color combinations and you'll probably get her logging.

It's funny how missing one little piece of plastic can cause so much headache .

Before you do any cutting, be aware that the ODBI plug is normally just clipped onto the side of the fusebox and can be removed. Mine came loose while driving, and slipped down behind the kickpanel. Really confused the living hell out of me, tugging on wires until I found a loose bundle, and finally pulled the connector up from behind the plastic.

Probably would have guessed my car didn't have one either, but the connector was clipped on when I'd bought it, so I *knew* it was there. Very likely that yours have just come unclipped as well. It really does look like it vanishes, as the bundle swings back behind the other bundles/connector block/fusebox, and virtually disappears. It can even get snagged behind there, as I'm pretty sure I tugged on the right bundle a few times before it finally came away. Just pull off (er, unscrew and unfasten, don't just pull) the driver's side kickpanel and have a look. An inspection mirror can help as well.

where is the obd II port on a 1g car? mine is idling rough and i wanted to check what codes were being thrown. also does anyone know of any tuning shops around the NE Iowa region?

1g is obd1 and that port is left of the clutch pedal near the fuse box covered in a black rubber cover, Do you have the cel on? theres a certain way to check the codes look on vfaq or the articles. "how to read codes without a coder"
