help w/ 02 housing

ok i just purchased a ported o2 housing from a friend but i cannot get my stock o2 housing off. the bottom two bolts that connect the o2 to the downpipe are hard as hell and i cant break them loose. they are fairly new bolts because they came with the downpipe and that is only like 2 months old. can they really be on that tight after just 2 months, what can i do to get them loose???

You, my friend, need a breaker bar.

Or a "cheater bar," if it will fit put the handle of a floor jack over a ratchet, making it a poor man's breaker bar

you might also try to click them a hair tighter before you try to loosen them. sometimes tightening is easier than loosening and by tightening it that small hair, you broke it loose. good luck!

pb blast them a day or two before you are gonna get to it. works for me. works even better if you "blast in the morning" drive to work, get home, blast at night, and repeat. the will come out nice.

originaly i couldnt get my bottom bolt off either - i have to yank the turbo with the o2 housing for more room.
