I got a code saying bad tps and I went and got an oem replacement. But don’t have a multi meter to finger out how to adjust it. I put in on and when I try driving I stall and kept moving g it around and it just hops at low speeds, parking lot speeds when I try to drive it. At fast speed throttle doesn’t respond much. Did I put it on wrong? How do I adjust it any help would be appreciated thanks

Got a multi meter where do turn it to? I put the feeler gauge on the first or second screw? The term loose conductivity what is that?

You are testing for continuity so you need to set the meter to the continuity setting, or just a resistance setting if it doesn't have that.

I have adjusted it perfectly to the tps adjustment form but it still dose the same thing. I started reving it and if i step on the gas the rpms are jumping from 1000-3000 rpm. I hold it stedy too. it has thrown a code out also evap leak and air idle controle system manifacture help please im stuck

Did you actually test the old sensor before you bought a new one to verify that it was bad. Was there even a code thrown for the tps? If so than it could be in the wiring also. When the computer is showing a trouble code for a component it doesn't mean that this component is bad. It is telling you in what circuit to look, could be sensor, could be wiring. The evap code had nothing to do with this, but the idle air code would have everything to do with this.

1. My car started to have high idle around 1300rpm always.
2. Looked up the code and it said tps and my friend tested it and it was bad and he even told me that the inside is too soft and doesn't line up,
3. Got a new tps and put it on the car expecting it to work but I can't drive the car without burning out in each stop and when I tap the gas it takes a long time to respond.
4. On neutral I tap the gas and hold it and the rpms just jump up and down at low rpm and high rpm it doesn't.
5. Looked up a code saying idle air control fail. And evap code has always been there.
6. The solutions I tried are I loosen the bolts and had a buddy rev low where it jumps and moved it around and nothing happened if I twisted it all one way it kinda wanted to stall. I disconnected the tps and the idle got lower. Then I got my buddy snap on scanner and preformed test like set timing iac and tps and it said they are okay. I checked injectors all fine.
7. This is where I am at know? Any ideas thanks for the help
