Help, problem with spark plug and piston !

Hi,

As you can see om the pictures below, I've got a serious problem with my engine.
There is a hole in the piston of the 4th cylinder.
Now I found out that the mounter used the wrong sparkplug.
He assembled a NGK BUR 5ET 10.
Can somebody tell me if the wrong type sparkplug is the cause of the hole in the piston??
If not, what else can be the cause of this problem?

I've got a Eclipse Spyder GS-T from 1998. The only upgrades I've done are:
- Greddy upperpiping with BOV
- Greddy exhaust system
- Downpipe
- K&N open air filter
