okay, I have a 90 TSI AWD with a 91-94 tranny in it. I made it so that it will work with the 90 shifter cables and everything by simply making my own cable attachment point on the later year tranny in the same location as it would be on the 90. Regardless all gears work except it will not go into first, only engauge the syncro's but not go into gear. Let out the clutch, car starts to move then it just overpowers the syncros and grinds. If I put it into 1st (or what seems like it) at the linkage by hand, get in the car and start it it just pops out. Any ideas would be great I leave for school for a year on Thursday so I need to get this figured out or that new ACT 2600 isn't going to hold up. THANKs!
