help please ? about logging

ok i have read like 500 threads and serched around and i still dont get it here is why .

i have a 89 talon tsi fwd 5spd i aslo have an old laptop i want to start to use for logging
heres my ?s

do i need an eprom ecu

do i need the cable thats 300$ on tmo.com

if i cant use mine can i use one from ebay thats like 13.50$

can i use free wear and whats the best / easy to use

i also have a palm m100 can i use this cable from my old awd 92 talon turbo for my laptop if any one could please tell me all this or email me some free wear and some info on it to [email protected]

ps what all do i need the cheapest way posible thanks

No. You only need an EPROM ECU if you are planning on installing either a Keydiver chip or DSMLink.

TMO is no more so you can't get a cable from them.

As long as it plugs in to the diagnostic port on one end and the serial port on the other than it *SHOULD* work. I have no experience with the quality of the cables from eBay.

Todd Day has released the original TMO software as freeware.

No. Your laptop and Palm do not share the same connector so it won't work.

holy sh*t dude i was thinking it was going to take like 10 ppl to anser all that like in othe threads thats why i didnt understand anything any one was say so many dif replays thanks man ok one more ?
