I've been searching for hours but I can't seem to get a straight answer. I am hoping to put together a full 3" turbo back; so far all I have is a 3" Thermal cat back. The problem I'm running into is finding a 3" o2 housing, I want it recirculated and if possible to be able to bolt on to the T-25. I will eventually be upgrading to an FP Green so unless im misinformed it should bolt up to both?
So until I get my o2 I don't want to get a downpipe out of fear that it won't fit. Same with the test pipe, I'm assuming that I should wait on that till I get a downpipe. In regards to the test pipe, i've mainly seen the megan racing one but that has a 2.25 inlet and outlet. Is there a better option than that so I don't have to have those flanges cut off and replaced with 3" ones?

Sorry for the newb question, I've been at work for 3 weeks and I am hoping to have everything ready to install when I get home. I only have Internet access through my phone so searching is tedious to say the least, not to mention it is hard to find time to look for answers when working over 100 hours a week.

So noob I almost didn't answer.

Most 3" downpipes eliminate the need for a cat/test pipe. They usually bolt up regardless. Only issue is how well fitment will be. Will the catback droop down? We don't know.

3" o2 housing?? You are going to have to make custom one. Or just find a 2.5" and port it like everyone else.

Hurry up & bolt on a better turbo.

I was just hoping to be able to enjoy my DSM for a few more weeks as summer is quickly coming to an end. Once I stop driving it the full build will begin.

I'm probably just gonna go with the megan o2 and downpipe then. Thanks for the reply.

I have the 3 inch megan dp and catback, with a mild steel 2.5 o2..It was also pretty cheap.I had my test pipe custom made.

Theres nothing wrong with cheap piping..And my megan fit right in the stock exhaust hangers. So no issue there either.Mine has a resonator and is not loud at all.And sounds kinda stock at idle.

But you being in alaska, nothing is cheap up there..And even ordering off ebay, who knows when you will get what you order.

Punishment racings downpipe is a full 3 inch at the inlet. Doest taper like the megan. I like the design of the megan alot more, as its easy to have it on and off.

I had to weld nuts on my o2 housing because it was impossible to have any room with that big 3 inch inlet.

I'm a bit confused, you say you had the Megan DP and catback, then why did you have to get your test pipe custom made. Doesn't the DP bolt to the catback?

Also maniac..Port the hell out of your stock 2g o2 housing. It's a semi free mod.And will help.

Is porting the stock 2g comparable to an aftermarket one such as the Megan o2?

There are 2 types of DPs, shorter ones that bolt up to the stock cat or test pipe and cat eliminator DPs that are longer and just bolt up to the cat back. If you don't plan on ever running a cat get the long one. I have the RRE short DP and an RRE high flow cat and an RRE test pipe and I can switch them out when I want to.

The DP I bought was non cat eliminating. So I had to get one made..And the one it came with was smaller diameter, and I wasn't having that.

Okay thanks for all your help.
