What's up everyone. I am getting ready to put the engine back together. I have my rebuilt block with 2g pistons and rebuilt head. The problem is that I left alot of my other parts outside under a box, and they collected dirt and rust. I would appreciate some advice on how to clean and prep all of my parts to put them back together. Thanks everyone.

P.S. Does anyone know wether I can get all new bolts for the entire engine?

lots and lots of brake cleaner my man. and a toothbrush if its stubborn. a medium toothbrush.

Haha, cool. Would it be safe to put that stuff in the cylinders though? What about greasing and lubricating? which parts need it?

Sorry for all the questions, but this is my first time taking an engine apart.

if your talking about pistons and such, lubricate the piston wall with some oil on your finger. i would lube everything with a fine coat of oil prior to assembly. just make sure its not contaminated. little fuzzies and such are okay as they will be burned up or caught in the oil filter.

i would have them disassemble it and rehone it. if it got like that in their possesion its their responsibility.
