Hey guys, I need some help with my friend's Civic. It's a 90 Civic wagon. Car only starts sometimes but will shut off itself after a while and just cranks if you try to restart it. We haved changed the rotor and distributor cap. We found out by pulling one of the cable on the cap that there are no spark when it won't turn over. My question is what comes before the rotor. Any other suggestions would be great. Thanks.

b4 the rotor is the distributor --- b4 thats is the ECU/spark computer ... btw there are no Honduh Friends to dsm'ers ;) hehe

The car doesn't idle funny so I think the ecu is ok. If a distributor is bad, does it work sometimes and not others?

I know what you mean about Hondas but he is one the good ones. :thumb:
