help installing non cruise contol cable

i took off the cruise control in my 98 gst, i looped the cable to get it to fit but i dont know how to attache it, the cable has alot of slack

Did you buy a non cruise cable?
If you didn't take the short stock cruise cable that should work, you just need to attach it to the back of the throttle body to hold it.

i bought the non 2 g non cruise cable but i cant find a way to attach it to the manofold

There should be a bracket with 2 10mm bolts that bolt to the back of the manifold, just like the stock one did.

Try taking the bracket off the stock line and putting it on the new one.

so thats what i did, but it looks like a hack job. also the gas pedal is much softer then what it was before

I was going to say get a non-cruise cable for it or if not get a non-cruise cable from a 1g but looks like you already figured it out. I wish my gas pedal were a little softer but then again i want to keep my cc for the fact it works.
Why did you take out your cc if i may ask ?

so i just did my 6 bolt swap, and as u can see i have a sbr sheet metal intake manifold.
the t body was hitting the cc box that is mounted on the fire wall. but the cc worked fine, im sad i got rid of it

Looking at the pics you show... that's not a non-cruise control cable. The non-cruise control cable doesn't have the nut and stuff on the end and has the flange to mount it to the intake man already on it. It still makes a loop over the valve cover. It'll look like this here: 2g NON- cruise cable

so it is, mitsu dealer gave me that one, i had asked for 2g non cc cable.

They obviously gave you the wrong one. Like others have said there should have been a bracket and there shouldn't be those two nuts on the end of the cable.

And I would really consider taking off that bracket that you just kind of "stuck" on there. It looks like crap and it looks like it's going to fall off at any moment.

yea i have to wait till Monday so i can return the cable, but it actually is on really good, even though im not using the car. the fan is not working.

yeah that is 100% not the right cable, i snagged a 2g Non CC cable off of a car in the junkyard for my 1g works fine. hardest part was figuring how to loop it, i ended up looping it under the intake manifold so you can't see it.

Did you give the dealer your VIN #, bc i think he ordered the throttle cable that goes to the CC unit.

Complain about it..tell them you either want a discount or something that made the trip worth while.
