For some reason. Every winter. I drive my car my MpH gage works till 25ish. Then its goes haywire. And makes the whirling noise. And it will way I am doing like 70 and 80 when I am doing 40 its bizarre. It makes this crazy loud noise. Lol. Idk what to do. I dont care about how fast I am going. Its more of the noise that fills the dam cabin up. What could be causing that...any help I would appreciate it tremendously. :D

Yeah moly grease is fine.

I haven't taken a DSM speedo cable apart but if it's like all the others I've done then you can pull the moving part out. Dis-connect it from the trans and pull the center part out. Squish some grease into the liner with your finger. Then lube the moving part you took out and slide it back inside the cable. Done.

If the inside part doesn't come out it may be siezed in the liner. Replacement may be in order.

Thank you for all your help. Finally had tp drive today for work. And it was silent. Not even bouncing anymore..I thought the bouncing was normal
I jist un screwed the speedometer cable from thw trans and sprayed lithium grease. And did the same behind the gage cluster. ..thank you everyone:thumb:
