I know I saw a link on how to swap out the cams the easy way so I was wondering how to fix this leak and maybe swap to some better cams as the head is fully built by BJ. Somehow that small bit turns into like a quart on the floor! Please help I so badly want to drive this thing! Should I swap out the cams...any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sherwin

It might help if you have the cam seals in there. Go to Satan and tell them you need two cam seals and put them in. Problem solved.

Ok so can I just go to like the dealer and order some cam seals? I had no clue there was suppose to be cam seals.

Thanks,
Sherwin

P.S. I'm a christian so I don't think I'd want to go to Satan for anything.

Yup. You just have press them in the end gently and then tighten down the caps and you should be fine.

Once you have been to the dealer once or twice for hard to find parts, that they order and end up wrong, your thoughts may change.

Good luck.

LOL! I'm a Christian too but my friendly neighborhood satan gives a 20% discount to DSM members! Yours may too. Just ask! :thumb:

Oh ok...I got. Satan = dealership. Yeah I've been to the dealer a lot for this project. So should I go ahead and put in a new set of cams as I have no clue what kind of cams are in the head right now? I was thinking the FFWD level 2 cams? Any comments on this and is it just as easy as popping the cam caps off and putting the new cam in and torquing the cam caps back in at 15 ft-lbs? Are there any bearings or anything like that I should replace while putting new cams in.

why put new cams in when all it needs is cam seals?

So I could possibly get more power out of the car. In any case I've already put the cam seals in the head but for some reason they make a slight screaching sound when the engine is running. I finally drove the car down my court and back and at least its running but it overheated. I'm going to take a closer look at it when I get home...didnt have time last night as it was getting dark. Hopefully it's something simple like a thermostat or radiator cap or maybe the coolant system needs to be bled. I'll save the cam swap for when I get a bigger turbo.

Thanks for the help guys,
Sherwin
