help diagnosing driveline failure

I just picked up an unmolested 2g gsx and have spent the last couple weeks getting it road worthy. Car drove fine around town and on the highway until today when at about 70, it lurched as if someone hit my brakes, drove normal for a second and then again forcing me to the side of the highway with smoke pouring from the driver side of the engine bay. No fluids or parts on the highway, but when I try to get it to move I have to damn near melt the clutch to get it to roll. I can push it in neutral so it's not the brakes and will shift into all gears and move. So I'm lost . First time dsm owner, but been in the sports car game for quite some time. Any helpful input would be awesome. car is BONE STOCK. New slave installed and bled properly last week and clutch is new to my knowledge.

This may be unlikely, but check your lug bolts on your hubs, mine began to retract out and because of the small clearance back there it made me lock up when the bolts made contact as they were spinning.

Check the fluids in the transfer case, rear end, and transmission. Probably one is empty.

Yep that was it that's what I get for letting it sit for long and not thinking to check that fluid level. Oh well you learn and you live. Both ears are almost completely melted one bearing shot to hell. Pictures to come soon as I figure out how to upload them. Looks like I'll have a GST for now
